The Crow IDEA Stories on Digitaledu4kids

The Crow IDEA

It was a hot summer day. A crow was very thirsty. The wild area it lived in had no water body. All the ponds and springs had dried up. It could not fly to another far of the jungle. But it badly needed water to drink. It flew in search of water towards a nearby town. The water was always available in human settlements. The crow saw a water pitcher placed near a tree by the side of the house. It flew down and perched on the pitcher rim.

A peep down revealed some water at the bottom. It was too below the reach of its beak. It pondered over the situation. How to get to the water? An idea struck it. It began to pick pebbles from the ground and drop them one by one into the pitcher.

The water level rose and reached a level where its beak could reach the water easily. The crow quenched its thirst and flew away happily.
