The Liar Shepherd Boy and The Tiger
Once upon a time, there was a small village named Raj Nagar Koirauna. A young boy named Ritesh was living in that village. He was a very naughty and mischievous fellow. He was making mischief with everybody. He was not showing respect to the seniors and elders of that village. Due to this bad behavior, nobody as well as his parents was not happy with Mohan.
Ritesh’s father was a milkman by profession. Ritesh was taking all their cows to the nearby jungle for grazing every day. While going to the jungle on the way he was making jokes with everybody. One day in the jungle he made fun with his fellow grazers. He shouted in his top voice that a tiger was attacking his cow. All the fellow grazers and the woodcutters ran to that place to help Ritesh’s life. When they came there, they saw that Ritesh’s cows were grazing safely. When they asked Mohan about the tiger, Ritesh laughed and reduced them. All the fellow grazers and woodcutters got angry and went away to their work. Ritesh played the same trick the next day.
All the people came for his help. But Mohan makes fun of them. All the people are really angry with Ritesh. They decided not to listen to his word in the future. This was way many days past. One day incidentally a tiger came and attacked his cow. Ritesh cried for help at the top of his voice. He said this time he was telling the truth and a tiger was attacking all his cows. But due to his past mischief, nobody gave emphasis to his cry.
Ritesh in order to save his life climbs the tree. He shouted for help. Nobody came to his rescue. They thought that the boy was playing the trick again. Ritesh shouted and shouted but in vain. None came to his help. The tiger killed all his cows and went away.
